i heart carrot juice


Carrot juice. It's pure and organic, but it's packaged. That means pasteurized. Booooooo! So is it dead? Dangerous? I need to do a little more research but I suspect I should avoid it...

  1. my research seems to indicate that pasteurization kills all the good living enzymes along with the bad, so even though it's pure organic carrot juice, it's not as healthy as it could be... freshly juiced is the best way to go. i wonder about the other nutrients, for example, the amount of vitamin A in 6 ounces of carrot juice... is this lessened in the pasteurization process? and more and more so as the product sits on the shelf? seems like yes.

    ... i think i should start doing more juicing!
