Saturday April 30th


Munching on fresh, lightly roasted mac nuts on my way home from errands...

After a long morning of teaching, farmers market shopping, post office stopping, and health market stock up, finally I arrive home and make a papaya banana coconut orange smoothie, mmmmmmmmmmmm!

This afternoon I enjoy a long nap, then make some nice chickpea dip with garlic, lemon, parsley, olive oil and sea salt. I scoop it up with a beautiful sweet carrot and munch on handfuls of peppery arugula and vibrant sprouts along with it. So fresh and tasty!!!

Tonight Eagle makes pizzas. I have one slice of olive, one slice of tomato, and a beer... then I’m ready for bed!

A nice, fresh green salad for lunch. Lots of lettuce right from my garden, green pepper from a friends garden, avocado from my yard, organic raw pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, a little olive oil and tamari.

I wake up so tired and slow this morning... Must be feeling that upcoming new moon energy already. I make a little half-cup of coffee to help me wake up and quickly get on the mat!

I spend a long morning and afternoon in the kitchen, cleaning and cooking and juicing... Today's lunch is a huge pot of chana daal with lots of kale and some short grain brown rice.

This afternoon I am invited to a beautiful ritual womens gathering and share a lovingly prepared and blessed meal with the ladies there. I don't take photos, but I enjoy some walnuts and parsley, a sweet, spicy lentil rice with raisins and cinnamon, saffron rice pudding, and a really cool, sweet drink with rosewater and teff... and most importantly, I'm honored to share the company of some really beautiful women :)

Monday April 18th: Pasta & Pizza

Forgot to snap a pic of my morning herbal tea...


Pasta for lunch! Organic farfalle noodles, fresh green beans, broccoli, tomato, olive oil, garlic, olives, sundried tomatoes, herbamare salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, apple cider vinegar, nutritional yeast, hemp seeds, and lots of fresh cilantro. Yum!

Saturday March 19th... Happy Full Moon Day!!!

Happy Full Moon Day! ...This one is a SUPERMOON!!!


Today I enjoy a late sleep, tea on a sunny porch and a long phone call catching up with my family. What a beautiful way to spend this moon day morning!

Lunch begins with a whole bunch of tasty goodness chopped up and sauteed in olive oil: garlic, onion, chopped Boca burgers, sundried tomatoes, fresh tomatoes, artichoke hearts and lots of fresh cilantro.


I toss it all into a (slightly crunchy... Oops!) tortilla with avocado, hot sauce and nutritional yeast. And a little glass of wine on the side...

I enjoy a superlong moon day nap, and then wander on a walk and find a new flower on a tree in my yard. I don't know what it is but it sure is pretty!



Mini Mexican rollups for a late dinner-snack. Refried beans, daiya cheddar, hot sauce and cilantro rolled up in a tortilla and baked, then dipped into a bowl of salsa, yum!
